Kicking Butt: Starting a Business From Home

The greatest joy for a parent is spending time with their children. From the first time we hold our baby in our arms it is clear that there will never be anything as important to us as that child. We will love and protect them at all costs for as long as they are dependent on us. This is the job of a parent.

Many of us chose to have our husbands get a job, and we decided to stay home to raise our child. We spend every day making them dinner and washing their clothes, and nothing could be better because we know that nothing in the whole world means more to us than being able to spend every day with our children.

Children grow up very fast. Older parents always tell the younger ones to enjoy every minute of your child at every age because childhood goes away in a flash. We think we get it because we have seen other people’s children as well as our nieces and nephews speed from infant to grade school to college graduate. It is only our own children that really drive this lesson home.

From gurgling infant to irascible toddler to high school graduate takes no time at all for a child. You don’t grow older they do and do it in a blink of an eye. You thought taking your five-year-old to kindergarten was the height of separation anxiety. Get over it. It’s just the beginning.

Before you have a chance to digest the little kindergartner, he has turned into a high school graduate and is out of your house and your care and he’s on his own. Just like that.

I’ll tell you what. Staying at home with nobody to take care of and play with drives most everybody nuts. First thought about how to help this situation is to go back to work. Not easy when you have not been in the workforce for at least 18 years and your resume is a real dog. If you do get an interview, you will find that every single applicant is a couple of decades younger than you with a sexy up-to-date resume in hand.

It’s hard enough to get a job when we’ve been out of work for so long, but in the current state of our economy it’s practically impossible. But we can’t just sit at home and do nothing and we would love to be able to make money so when our husbands retire we can travel and go on trips, so what do we do? Well now there’s a way that any of us can have a job without any experience.

With cutting edge software and technology any one of us can start our own online business. We can earn money whether we have a college degree or not and with no specific experience in any field. We can do this by utilizing the same skill set we perfected raising our kids: Patience, hard work, tenacity and determination.

Raising our kids was a wonderful experience but they are gone now. Starting a business online allows us to put our talents to good use to earn an income and satisfy our souls. And, no resume or experience required. Don’t go crazy when your children fly away and leave you and your nest empty. Fill it up with your innate skills and talents by using them well in your very own successful online business. You can do it!
